Robust, multifunctional backpack with a short back length for high and ski tours
The PEAK 32 S is a backpack for alpine activities that is specially designed for mountaineers with a short back - the "S" in the name stands for SHORT. The back system of this backpack is significantly shorter.
Due to the processing of the extremely tear- and abrasion-resistant material Nylon 420D Manstar, the high-altitude backpack is very robust. The wide and padded shoulder and hip straps, which distribute the load evenly between shoulder and hip, ensure a high level of comfort. A circumferential front zip allows direct access to the main compartment. The PEAK 32 S also scores with a separate safety compartment, attachment options for rope, ice ax and crampons as well as a separate map compartment and a hip pocket. A drinking system preparation and the display of alpine emergency signals are also part of the backpack's equipment.
BACK SYSTEM: SWISSWOOL FULL CONTACT
The special thing about this backpack is the back system made of pressed Swiss wool. Just like with the clothing, mountaineers benefit from the unique moisture and climate management of the wool and thus from a comfortable and dry feeling on the back. Thanks to the wool, the back of the backpack can absorb almost 30 times more moisture than a comparison back made of foam and is almost 7% more breathable than this. Another advantage of wool is that the surface of the back system dries faster.
The full contact back is close to the body and offers optimal weight distribution. The back construction also consists of two aluminum struts, which ensure high stability and comfort even with heavy loads.

VERSATILE, TECHNICAL AND COMFORTABLE SKI TOURING BACKPACK FOR LARGE MULTI-DAY TOURS HIGHLIGHTS optimal fit and load distribution abrasion-resistant and water-repellent spacious and clear The HAUTE ROUTE has been around almost since the birth of ski touring. Our tried and tested classic is perfect for longer ski crossings. Through the use of Cordura® and PFC-free double-layer polyamide 420D Oxford, the HAUTE ROUTE 32 is extremely abrasion-resistant and, thanks to the PU coating of all fabrics, is also water-repellent. Load control straps and the O-Flex-2 back system with an ergonomic fit and an S-shaped stabilizer ensure an optimal fit, which distributes the weight evenly between the hips and shoulders over long periods of time. The hip fins also connect to the inside of the back system so that they can enclose the body seamlessly and comfortably. With its larger volume, everything you need fits into the HAUTE ROUTE 32. The spacious main compartment is accessible from the top and back so that all items are quickly at hand, while the separate security compartment guarantees quick access to emergency equipment. Thanks to the rope fixation on the backpack lid, a rope can be quickly packed or unpacked without having to open the lid. In addition to crampons fixation, ice ax and pole attachment as well as a fixed helmet net, flexible carrying attachments are also available, for example for a snowboard. The skis can be attached to the ski touring backpack either classically or diagonally. No matter how long and demanding it gets, with the HAUTE ROUTE 32 you are well prepared for any multi-day tour.
